Light On

I only just realised that it's almost ten years to the day (short by a couple of months) since I last left off posting in 2009. If this were a physical building, the amount of dust here would be terrible to say the least. And yet, this is familiar. A place where old memories never went away. You know, my sort of thing.

In that space of time, which I suppose went by so quickly, much has changed. Or is it more accurate to say that not much has changed?

No, I didn't "get the girl". As I probably mentioned somewhere in an earlier post, Real Life isn't like  Korean drama. She moved on and found someone else. As for me, I guess I moved on in some way.

I think I found someone else. Think, because emotions and reality are complex and complicated. Given more different(?) circumstances, perhaps I would've gone down that rabbit hole to see where it would lead.

But The Girl taught me much; I am who I am today because of her. How to love, how to fall out of love (and survive), how to be kind(er), and I guess most importantly (and painfully) of all--that there comes a time in life when one ought to stick to one's decision...no matter how difficult the road may be.

Perhaps in that, lies redemption.
